I have recently found a laser that I want. I certainly don’t need it, but unquestionably want.
It has an M2 Nano, which I am learning is not supported in lightburn . Lasering for sometime
Now , but have never had to mess with manipulating hardware.
Is it as easy as mapping the wiring and removing the old ad installing the new? What else should I expect to do?
It sounds like a K40 you have found yourself?
If this is the case, changing the controller is very easy.
I then chose a controller from Awesometech, it worked fine.
Ohhh, I haven’t seen one before either.
But if it is running on a nano m2, it should be no matter and also easy to replace with another controller. I just want to look for one that can change the 1: 1, without adaptors and extras.
I installed a 3d printer smoothie compatible controller in my M2 nano laser. MKS sbase 1.4. There is a specific version of Smoothieware with clustering support which helps with raster engraving but all in all it was an easy process. I did loose some of the functionality of the control panel but not that it mattered much.
