Hey guys, have some problems, hope you will help me

When im trying to cut a square, my Y axis line cuts perfectly, but X axis cant cut throw my material(my way 3mm plywood), there can be a problem?

If you turn your material 90 degrees, is it the same result?

@bernd.dk is correct for a test. Especially since plywood had differently oriented layers with unknown kinds/amounts of glue. All change how the machine will damage it.

It’s pretty clear none of the cuts have quite enough power to get through for the whole line.

Some adjustments of the speed/power combination will probably get a better result.

Might want to do ‘tests’ on edges and work your way in. Burn up lots of material starting in the middle.

Good luck

I think i give enough power, 270/100 in 2 pass
Laser is neje 40w

You have not answered my question

Yeah sorry, i didnt tried yet, but soon i gonna do that and let you know

Other than material considerations another factor is that diode lasers rarely focus to a true dot. There’s usually some asymmetry to the shape, either tall or wide. That will affect both the kerf size of horizontal vs vertical cuts as well as the relative cutting efficiency.

This can be exasperated by the material being cut. Reorienting the material to better align to the natural laser cutting properties can lead to a more predictable cut.
