I was watching a video on this from the manufacturer. Has this been tested with MM? Would any questions about this really go under MM hardware?
Can you share what ATC you are talking about? ATC is a pretty common acronym for Automatic tool changer and there’s a bunch of companies coming out with them.
It will be heavily dependent on your firmware more than MillMage though. We just make a tool change call. If you have an atc setup it will be in your firmware to know how to deal with it.

We’ve absolutely heard of the RapidChange and are following SparksTech on Youtube. He’s also active on the forum here! @Sparky_YYC
He did post this video a few days ago, where he managed to get a toolchange macro working in MillMage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpT7ZCRCcWg
I can confirm that the RapidChange ATC does in fact work great with MillMage. I was actually just going to do a video of the software setup for just such a setup.
I’m perplexed how they avoid cross-threading repeatedly?
From the video, do I understand correctly, there is a chuck per bit? Are theu sold separat or come with the ATC?
Basically the part that hold the nut is sitting on a spring so any slight tilt in the planes between the spindle shaft and nut can be adjusted for.
I am sure if you mount the magazine very tilted in any one direction there might be issues but so far so good for me. I have had over 150 if not more successful changes across a number of different nut types loading many different bits and collet sizes.
Your videos made me cry because I am on a fixed income and can’t buy a setup like yours! Thanks for sharing the how-to.
