Having PWM rising edge-like issue, but that's not it

Hello everyone.

I’m having an issue that seems easily solved for most people by flipping the rising edge setting on the controller.

As you can see above, the machine is clearly losing steps somehow, but I’ve checked all the common problem spots and I can’t seem to figure out what’s going on.

Things I’ve done:

confirm that the stepper motor is getting enough current
confirm belt is tight
confirm grub screws are all tight
test both possible rising edge settings for X axis

I have also tried drastically reducing my acceleration settings and speeds, which did seem to help a bit with another issue, which is wavy edges on the fill, but not with the lost steps.

Does anyone else have any ideas for me?

Try exchanging the motor drivers for X & Y. If the problem seems to go away, or flips to the Y axis, you likely have a bad X axis driver, or possibly bad wiring to it.

Thanks, I don’t know how that didn’t occur to me. Different stepper swapped in and it works well now!
