Having trouble after 1.5 update


I was hoping the 1.5.02 update would take care of it but it hasn’t. I keep getting this message all the time which forces me to unplug and replug the USB cable to get it working again. today it cost me a whole sheet of acrylic because I hit the STOP button on lightburn and the machine didn’t respond. :frowning:

All signs point to USB comms issues here - how are you connecting to your laser?

If you’re using any USB hubs or extenders, please remove them - they are known to cause issues.

Have you changed your connection path recently? New PC, new cable?

literally nothing has changed other than updating to 1.5. I’ve had this laser for a couple of years now and have been using lightburn for even longer back when I had a k40.

If you downgrade, does the problem persist?

haven’t tried that to be honest… I remember seeing posts from other people here having this issue a couple of weeks ago
