It worked perfectly fine in the trial version.

There is no difference between the Trial and Licensed versions. You have other issues happening.

I have created a very simple program for you to test with. It has very low laser output power so you will not burn anything.

  1. Home the machine.
  2. Select the rectangle and see if your machine will Frame.
  3. See if your machine will Run the program.

If at any point the machine fails, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Console window.
  2. In the window, right-click and select everything and copy it.
  3. Paste that copy in your Reply.

S30 Test.lbrn2 (3.3 KB)

I’ve done everything correctly, so why am I getting that error? Does it have something to do with the operating speed or power? I don’t understand why I’m getting that error.

There are 38 GRBL errors and 9 alarms. Am I supposed to guess which one?

This information is necessary if we are to help you. Did you run the S30 Test program?

“Trabajo detenido” = job stopped.

I see no error messages in your posting. Job Stopped means you hit the Stop button in Lightburn. A power or USB cable loss would show some kind of error.

Please follow these instructions exactly:

  1. Power up the laser, Home it and get it ready to run the Test program I sent you.
  2. In the Console window, turn on the Show All switch.
  3. In the Console window, right-click and select Clear Console.
  4. Select the Laser window and click on the Run button.
  5. Select the Console window and copy everything in the window.
  6. Paste that copy in your Reply.

There is no way you should have gone to this position, unless…

You are not using Absolute Coords. Select this in the Laser window and do not change it.

By running it multiple times, you were shifting the start point all over the place. This can eventually put you up against a frame rail. If you use absolute coordinates, where your work is located in the design window is where it will burn on the laser table.

I did not spot that video, sorry!

As soon as the laser powers up, there is a heavy load on the power supply. If that supply cannot deliver the current increase, the output voltage will drop, which can do a controller reset.

In the meantime, lower the laser power % to see if you laser will stay turned on.

I am surprised this happens with a Sculpfun machine. If it stays on with lower laser power, and the machine is new, contact Sculpfun for a replacement power supply. They will ask for a video, which you just happen to have.

Gracias

Okay, thanks. I’ll try the power supply as soon as I can and I’ll ask Sculpfun directly. Thanks.

Reducing the output power to 1/4 of your setting is a really quick test.
