Help Connecting XTool P2s via USB to Mac

Hi-

I am trying to connect my XTool P2S to Light Burn.

I have downloaded xtool-P2_v10_mac.Ibdev file and imported it.

I still can’t seem to have the device connect.

I am using USB C to USB C. I can confirm the laser is hooked my my MacBook and XCS works and is connected.

What do I need to do for this to connect/ be discoverable on connection wizard?

Common problem. MAC is USB-C v3.0, Laser is USB-C v2.0 and the MAC will not automatically downshift to the 2.0 protocol (blame Apple for this one).

  1. Buy a dirt cheap USB-A hub.
  2. Buy a couple of USB-A to USB-C cables, 6 feet long. Quality cables with a ferrite are better. Limit total USB run to less than 15 feet.

This forces the MAC to downshift to the USB 2.0 protocol.
