My lightburn program will no longer burn the middle like in capital A’s. I have no clue how to fix it, please help
Try a font other than a Bahnschrift font.
When I was generating text in that font the cross-bar was a separate piece.
I suspect there’s a glitch in the font file but I’ll ask.
Yeah, it only does it with specific fonts where that middle piece is like its own part. It wasnt doing this before so i dont know what happened
That is the way that font is constructed. When you finish typing, assuming you have the ‘Welded’ button enabled, those will be fused with the rest of the letter.
While typing:
When done:
Since text is normally just “painted”, not outlined, some font designers get sloppy like this.
I just realized you are using an old version of LightBurn. This has been fixed with newer releases.
So the only way to fix it is to get a newer version?
Or use a different font, but yes, I expect so.
Can do! Thank you so much for the help
If you need to use that font, and updating is not an option, once the text is done you can convert the text to paths using “Edit → Convert to Paths” and then manually do a boolean union on the A’s as needed.
