Hello everyone, I hope this message finds you well. I’m reaching out to seek your advice and expertise regarding an issue I’ve encountered with my ATZER LU 36 laser engraver. Recently, I noticed a small burn or crack in the lens or lens cover of my machine. Since then, I’ve been having difficulties getting the laser to mark on wood, which leads me to believe that this might be the root of the problem. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue, and if so, what steps did you take to resolve it? Any insights on whether I should replace the lens, clean it, or if there are other troubleshooting steps I should consider would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and support. I look forward to your suggestions! Best regards, Don Hacker
So if its broke that means overheating.
Its air cooled(air asist)?
“Normally” it shouldn’t happen, but I’ve tried something similar after I’ve engraved glass or stone … can’t precis remember, but I just changed the front lens and everything was ok again.
thank you, im glad to hear that
the power cord for my air assist needs replacing but i didnt know it was mandatory to use .it, yhank you
i have another question would itbe safe to run it without the lens cover ?
it appears that the company has gone out of business and ive no idea where to order parts
Yes, it is very important with compressed air, primarily to keep contamination from the lens, to blow the burning material out of the cutting surface and possibly cooling when using the newer diode laser.
thanks again . i have one other question where would i go to find parts it appears the company no longer exists?
It is unfortunate that the company is no longer found.
But likely is a “standard” diode module that you should be able to find spare parts for. Make sure the first lens is actually protective glass and not the lens itself, measure the screw part and search the web for a replacement part.
I will not run the laser without the outermost lens if it is production or similar.
This company has different lenses and solutions that look interesting, you can try to contact them for a protective lens.
thanks again you have been BIG HELP
