Hi friends im stuck i got a project to do with wild olive wood its the first time im engraving on wood like this so i dnt know the settings i need to have my machine on so i need help …
P.S i do not have any offcuts to test on so its a thing of only having one shot at doing it right
You are asking a bit much! I mean is the highest responsibility.
Now all i can think of is this
Can you use the back of the wood for something? can you maybe engrave your logo + Some text?
If so you could use this small testing area - that even if it’s not perfect would be ok - as a benchmark.
Is very difficult to guess estimate what settings without having worked with that material before?
Also, maybe post a picture of the world itself to help others that might have worked with it identify your tone/Grain
