So, I got a new machine 60W RF and wanted to dial in the auto focus. It came in set from the factory but after doing a couple of tests I want to change the offset a bit.
I went into the vendor settings in the U axis and the Z offset was zero. I changed it a few times to all kinds of different numbers but the results remained the same. I know I must be missing something. And yes, I did read and saved to the controller.
Any ideas? Thanks

Thank you. Yes, the auto focus is a touch probe. The controller is a Ruida 6445.

cornerstone:
change the offset a bit
This may help, although my KT332N controller and your 6445 surely use entirely different words for the same settings:
AFAICT, Home Offset
controls the pulloff after the switch trips and Focus Distance
sets the additional space beyond that point.
Those are for the U axis: although the KT332N has Z axis settings, it doesn’t have any Z axis output terminals.

So you need it set up in vendor settings in Rdworks.
And available in user settings on driver panel menu>user settings and there is focus options

RD works? Why wouldn’t it work in lightburn?

I use longer RW; so if you configure that in LB is ok.

That’s what I did if you read the original post.

Anyone else have any ideas? I can’t get it to change the offset.
