Help with calibrating camera

I did all the steps with the pattern, that worked fine. Then at the alignment step, this happened.121082456_10103142610950476_4326074330465766872_n 121117110_10103142610895586_5269275883146661556_n

Anyone know what happened?

oops! sorry! I uploaded them.

It looks like I need to calibrate my stepping motor? I have no idea what to do.

That looks like the acceleration setting is too high and it slipped when running the targets. It’s also upside down. Have you used this machine much, or is this all brand new to you? (I ask partly because the outlines around targets look very thick, like the machine isn’t at the right focus height either)

yes totally new! You’re right, the focus was way too far, I brought the z axe up to 9mm and it helped.

I reduced the acceleration speed to 2400 in the settings. Do you think there’s more I should do?LightBurn

Oh!! didn’t see that. Where would I adjust it?

Since you’ve installed the board into a machine that isn’t the stock K40, you’ll have some tuning to do with the settings on the SD card. This is documented on the Cohesion3D site. This page is a starting point: https://cohesion3d.com/knowledgebase/

You may also want to ask in their forum - the thing I usually suggest is increasing the motor currents a little, but you may have to adjust other things like bed size, etc. (https://forum.cohesion3d.com/t/cohesion3d-laserboard-larger-laser-machine-installation-guide/1464)

thank you for your help!

I have. Question on the camera alignment. I have a work space of 11.5 in x 6 in. I don’t have the 200 mm x 200 mm. How can I get it to scale down to the size of my bed without maxing my axis

Lower the ‘Scale’ setting. It’s also really only necessary to ask the question once - if you post multiple times, and email us directly as well, it just ties up our support staff unnecessarily, so we’re rather you didn’t do that unless you aren’t getting an answer.
