Help with correct settings

Hello,
Using a NEJE 3 Max, Windows 11 desktop PC and the latest LBurn.
Can anyone help with the correct settings? I am trying to engrave a cutting board today and having all kinds of difficulties. I am suing LB 1.4.01 and I have tried a number of different settings in the cut settings editor. (see images of 2 of them)
I have tried the following settings:
S-180 in/min, Max Power:100, 600DPI, Threshold
S-100 in/min, Max Power:80, 300DPI, Threshold
S-180 in/min, Max Power:100, 300DPI, Jarvis
S-180 in/min, Max Power:100, 300DPI, Dither
S-100 in/min, Max Power:80 300DPI, Greyscale

I have added a few images of the settings, the image and the actual cutting board.
Any help would be appreciated.

image mode in treshold is a bit of a bad idea
Unless your image is purelly black and white

also seems it should be able to be vectorized, have you tried that? or maybe you can even import image as SVG/AI?

Also, bamboo?
Fighting grain in bamboo is tough. i would test your settings on a more normal material, half of the problem might be the bambo grain

As @gilaraujo writes, convert to a vector format and engrave it with the appropriate line spacing, give it an outline to the very last. If possible, turn your project 90 degree to the wood fibers, (… I know that bambu is gras and not wood … ;-))
