It’s still a bunch of low-powered diodes in a gang, exactly like a fibre laser, but they use:

“high reliability multiple single emitters” with a lens to collimate before the fibre.

I like the little 7.5w diode you just posted a link to a bit earlier. I’m so close to ordering one to slap along side my spindle…
