Just got my Longer B1 40w set up today, installed Lightburn and am now starting my learning curve. Any suggestions for a neophyte like myself would be greatly appreciated 
Devote time to reading through the doc and working the sample problems, because that will give you the vocabulary required to understand what’s going on (and going wrong):
Videos, too, if those crank your tractor.
Protip: Practice on cheap material until you get dependable results doing whatever you want to do. Starting with a challenging project is a great way to learn quickly, but make those first mistakes on cheap stuff.
