Hide Unselected

As I’m reading through the posts, I’m seeing several posts related to objects set to fill that aren’t closed.

One of the options is to show those objects. Often the issue is they are part of a larger design and it’s difficult to discern where the actual problem lies. It may be several quite small Items. I had a file myself that had 5 items set to fill that weren’t closed and I could only find 3 of them, even with them being selected. I ended up hitting delete.

Is there a way to temporarily hide everything that’s not selected in order to see where the problem lies? Or possibly invert the selection allowing manual hiding of everything that is not the problem.

When you have problem and you select SHOW ME the open shapes, can’t you reach over to the cuts and layers window and put those selected open shapes on a different layer and then turn off the original layer?

Of course! I should have thought of that. Sometimes I overthink things. Thanks.
