Hilfe Lightburn und Sculpfun

Hello, I have the following problem:

Lightburn version 1.7.03 under Windows 11 in conjunction with the Sculpfun S9 & S30 Ultra, does not work correctly. Circles become ovals and dimensions are changed during lasering. A circle with a diameter of 20mm becomes an oval with a height of 20mm and a width of 25mm. A line that should be 50mm is lasered as 62.5mm. None of the specified data is retained.

The laser is controlled via GRBL from the PC. Direct connection via USB.

License is available and even has a 1 year update ahead of it.

What is the problem? None of my data can be used anymore. The operating system has already been reinstalled.

I’m helpless! Work orders cannot be processed.

This is usually a mechanical issue then. Or do both lasers have the same effect at the same time? Then it sounds like a software issue. Can you use LaserGRBL to test to exclude LightBurn as the reason?

Hello, I just tested it. The LaserGRBL program also turns the circle into an oval. It also has the same deviations.

Now I’ve tested the S30 again with LaserGRBL and Lightburn. Miraculously, it’s working properly again!?

The problem still only exists with the S9

Now I have set the value to 100,000 in the machine settings under $101 and I get circles. However, these circles are 0.5mm wider than entered in lightburn. Diameter now 30mm when entered at 25mm??

Both lines and diameters and widths are always 6mm longer.

Circle, instead of 25mm diameter = 31mm, the sides of a square, instead of 25mm = 31mm and also lines with 25mm, later become 31mm long!? Where could the error be?

In the machine settings? As I said, the change at $101 from 80,000 to 100,000 brought circles again. How can I prevent the addition of 6mm?

Solution: various parameters appear to have been changed. I have now adopted the machine settings from the S30 and the S9 is working properly again. Strange. But I am happy that the S9 is working again with the parameters of its big brother.

Sorry for replying late. Yes, both lasers usually use the same parameters. You can find most common parameters here: Firmware Update & Settings - Diode Laser Wiki
