Homecycle is not enabled in your GRBL settings Error 5 on longer Ray5 10w

Hello,

I am very new to engraving…
Can anybody please tell me how to solve the error 5 , Homecycle is not enabled in your GRBL settings ?
I have bought a longer ray5. It works but I olso keep getting the message that he’ll be cutting out of bounds… I think the problems are related.

I believe your machine does not have homing switches. So you need to manually “home” your laser. Looks like you may have 2 ways of doing this:

  1. start the laser with the laser head at the front-left position
  2. move the laser head to the front-right position and then push “Position” on your display panel. I’m not familiar with this laser but saw this in a setup video.

Do not push the Home button in LightBurn as that will request a homing cycle which your laser is not capable of doing since it doesn’t have homing switches.
