Continuing the discussion from How to activate homing before each job GRBL 1.1:
Did this ever happen? I know there is a “start gcode” area to do this in but xtroll lasers don’t like it.
Is auto home on startup enabled in the Device Settings? This will send a home command when the machine connects.

Lightburn doesn’t send a home command when a job starts… that would be a problem for many of us…
As you see, mine is disabled… if you don’t have home switches it will fail to home… causing the controller to issues an error. If homing is disabled in the machines controller it will generate a different error…
Can you be more specific on what it’s doing?
I am wondering why you think you need to do this. Unless you crash the machine or lose power, only one Home cycle is needed for each power-up.
