I found an auto home button on device setting screen. startup and it is on. Aufero AL2. Homing cycle is not enabled in your grbl setting. Error 5. On the console I get this. Am lost here.
Type $$ then enter into your console window.
Is $22 set to 1?

Did you also find limit switches on your machine?
Yes it is.
I have auto home on and no I havent found limit switches.
- Set $22=0 in the GRBL parameters.
- Turn off Auto-Home on Startup in the Device Settings (Basic tab in v2.x.xx) window.
If you ever find the switches, or install some, you can turn these back on.
Without limit switches, Home is wherever the laser is sitting when you power it up. To make life easier, put it in the front left corner first.

Thank you for the time and answer. Guess mine dont have switches.
A lot of the lower cost machines do not have the switches, but people still make lots of stuff with them. If you try to place it in the same location each time you power it up, and use Absolute Coords, you will get fairly predictable positioning results.
At least the Error 5 is cured, right?
