Homing only halfway

I have a new laptop and set up the Xtool D1 Pro etc. I have the Xtool software installed and set up as well with the correct extension size. I need help getting the laser to fully home in Lightborn instead of stopping at the halfway point. I changed the info the console $131=932 but this isnt changing anything. I turned on and off the switch on the machine and still no changes. IF anyone has gone through this and knows how to fix it please share.

THanks

Are you getting any error messages in console?

No. It just stops halfway. Does not go all the way back to left corner. The $131= still shows as 406 in console although I did change that to $131=932 previously. It says ok after I hit enter, but it doesnt ever change

What does it show in your devices window? May need to edit there.

$111=6000
$112=6000
$120=2500.00000
$121=300.000000
$122=300
$130=432.000
$131=406
$132=0

ok

ok

XTool isn’t actually GRBL firmware - They faked it to allow LightBurn compatibility, but many of the commands and settings don’t actually work.

You will very likely need to run XCS in order to change the machine length.

In XCS If I click use slide extension I see the bed size change, but this does not help with changing it in Lightburn. I use to be able to do this in Lightburn and it would go home just fine. New laptop and setting it all up is not working this time.

I wonder how many other manufacturers are doing this? Nasty trick to play on consumers!

Does XCS have a console to show if that change was applied?
I would think if the controller accepts the change in XCS it will not change when going to Lightburn.

So far, it’s mostly xTool. Most others still use grbl ports. Though, the audience is asking for more and more features that at some point can’t be handled by the original grbl firmware anymore. So, firmwares will drift apart, and we’ll see a multiverse of different dialects in the future, I think.
