Homing with debounce

I want to home before every job and want to add a gcode to the startup script.
G28 does home, but it does not do the finetuned debounce…
Any gcode that i can use for that?

$H should run a homing cycle…

I think G28 is a ‘return to zero’ code, not a homing code.

Thanks
i will try it

Can I ask if there’s a reason why you would want to home before every job? That’s a bit unusual and would make you potentially shift a small amount between jobs, depending on how repeatable your homing is.

My K40 was setup like that…
Laying down a piece of ply (and sequring it), and cutting it at 0,0 and a good bit out in both directions
That way i can just push whatever im working with down in that corner…
I used to make alot of tags, and made a jig for them, and it was very handy to just push it into the corner and work from there…

Not sure it made sense but…

Your workflow makes sense to me but I don’t see why you would need to do an actual homing operation automatically before every job. That’s the only part that’s a little unusual to me. Normally I’d assume homing at system start or if steps were lost but otherwise not repeated.

But I guess not particularly harmful so you do you.
