How can I cut out the full engraving area of my machine?

New to Laser Engraving, but not to CNC.

I’ve built an enclosure for my new laser engraver, but I would like to cut out (or at least mark to cut out later) the full engraving area. I created a rectangle the size of my engraving area, set it to line with the laser power and speed I would like, but I can’t run it. If I shrink it (by .1 mm) and move it just inside the engarving area (by 0.05mm) I still get the same error - “One or more shapes are crossing the edge of the machine workspace and will not be sent. Continue?”

Is there a way I can cut/mark the full size of the engraving area?

Can provide the following:

  1. Screenshot of Edit->Device Settings
  2. Full screenshot of LightBurn with your design loaded
  3. Save .lbrn file with your design loaded

When I went to get the whole design in screen I realised the XPos and YPos are for the center of the rectangle, not the corner. My bad. Thanks for the response and your patience for this noob!

Glad you’re good to go now.

This is actually something that’s variable based on configuration. You can change the reference position using the 9-dot selection. It’s a powerful tool.
