Hi, I’ve traced an image I’d like to burn onto a coaster. The only trouble is I’ve traced the image as it’s going onto slate and as the image is larger than the slate I want to add a mask. How do I do this? I can add the image to a mask but cannot add and traced images to a mask? I’ve tried putting the image into a mask and then tracing it but it returns to the original oversized cut needed. Any help most appreciated.
When you apply a mask, you can move it around the image. Then you need to ‘flatten the mask’, right click on object…
Might want to post the .lbrn2 file and we might have a better idea of what you are trying to work with.
While you use vector art as the mask cutter, the ‘Mask Image’ feature is designed to mask an image, not mask the vectors that are generated when using ‘Trace Image’. To mask or remove unwanted sections of vector art, you can use the Boolean Tools or the Cut Shapes Tools to accomplish what you are describing.
