Hi Guys, finally getting around to using a template! I have a question about how to center stuff … let me explain… I cut a 4" hole out on a board and added a 1/2 finger hole at the top to make it easy to get things in and out of the template. Now when I try to center my graphic it takes into account the finger hole and the center is NOT in the center where I need it to be so I can easily line up my graphic … I tried the align tools but it is still off and forces me to do it manually. What I hope to do is drop a graphic on the template and hit the align both vertical and horizontal settings … is it possible?
- Use bottom vertical alignment
- Use middle horizontal alignment

Add a 4 inch circle on a tool layer, center it on your template as @berainlb suggests, and lock it in place (also lock the template!).
When you drag-n-drop something in there, Shift- select the tooling circle and click the centering alignment button.
Done!
