How Do I Fill Using Lightburn

When I import an svg from Inkscape it shows the graphics as outlines only and I cannot use the fill command. It does this regardless of the file eg svg, pdf etc.

I want to engrave the solid graphics (single layer) not cut around the outside of them.

Am I missing something since I don’t understand why Lightburn doesn’t display the image I load and not the outline of the image I load.
