How do I get the origin in the center of the artwork?

Hi, seems like my origin is not cooperating and I can’t figure out why.
I’m trying to engrave a tumbler…
Here is the screen recording of what happens when I try to change the Origin.

I’ve checked the Coordinates & Origin - LightBurn Documentation - can’t find what I’m doin wrong here…

You likely have a shape offscreen that’s affecting the location of the job origin. Try going to Window-Frame Selection with nothing selected or try Edit->Select All to highlight all shapes in workspace.

Alternatively, if you want to ignore out of bounds shapes then select the shapes you’re interested in and enable “Use Selection Origin” in Laser window.

You are correct with the off screen shape… I have an image there but the “Output” & “Show” is off in the layers window. Looks like it is still affecting the origin algorithm even when output is off for a shape.

Thank you!

Yes, that’s how it works. You can enable “cut selected graphics” and “Use selection origin” and it will exhibit the behavior you want.
