I have an image that I had to remove some of the parts of the image I didn’t want to engrave, but that, in turn, removed the outline of the image. How do I create an outline of the image I have.
Without seeing the LightBurn file or the image, figuring out what to do is difficult. You can drag-n-drop them on your reply to upload them, but wait until they’ve finished arriving before proceeding.
If it started as a bitmap / raster file, then you can trace it again to get vectors around the borders, then delete the pieces you don’t want.
If it started as a vector file, then I think you must re-create the missing sections by hand-drawing them.
Or, more likely, I misunderstand what’s going on, so pictures will help someone else help you!
If you’re willing to share the image you’re working with I’ll test it with the Trace tool then the Offset shapes tool.
It’s a great way to get a cut-out outline for an image.
