Every time I hit stop I receive a big popup of the console and I have to then x out of it and then switch back to my cuts/layers. Really annoying! If I want to read about an error I’ll select the console. I have searched for the disable alarm pop ups but there doesn’t seem to be any?
It’s not what the message says. ANY alarm message causes the Console to pop up covering up the cuts/layers and forcing me to x out of the pop up then switch to the cuts layer and it’s a PIA. The problem is the pop up of the alarm form the normal console window.
Ok, I see, so you just don’t want the focus to shift to the console window when there is an alarm in the console.
If you dock the Console window, then at least it wont pop up, but the focus will still shift to the Console tab, and so you would still have to click back to the cuts/layers tab.
Alternatively, you could click on ‘Pause’ before you click on ‘Stop’ which will avoid that alarm (since under the hood a ‘Feed Hold’ command is probably a more graceful way to interrupt motion compared to the more abrupt but ruthlessly efficient ‘Soft-Reset’).
Grazi! That is certainly a interim fix. I didn’t even consider that as an option. I will request a feature. Often this happens while I am testing or positioning and rather than waste time, I’ll stop and home. Even disabling the alarm on stop would be a great help because it is almost redundant because stop is a manual event unlike a hard boundary error or homing error.
