How to change default work area origin(0,0)

The default origin is bottom left. I’d like it to be center like ezcad.
It doesn’t make sense for a galvo to be anything but center.

Is it called “job origin”?

lightburn_docs

I don’t see it in my version of lightburn:

Or is it only for non galvo/fiber.

I think it’s a bug:

In a laser everything video from 7 September I can see the job origin.

Can anyone with a fiber see/change Job Origin?

In that video, they’re using a different type of laser. You can see they have a Mira9 device profile selected in their ‘Laser’ window- this means its a DSP/Ruida laser, for which you can adjust the Job Origin when using User Origin or Current Position.

For galvo devices, you will always be in ‘Absolute Coords’ mode, and cannot adjust the origin.

Thank you for your response.
I’ll make it a feature request for galvo.

I’m curious what exactly this would change for you? (as in, why it is you want the origin in the middle)

I use the coordinate system to place objects on the workspace.
My mental model calculates from the red point in the middle. When my middle is at 100,100. I have to subtract and add. With center you just mirror/negate.
Example block of 4objects, 20 apart.:
80,80
120,80
80,120
120,120

For me center is clearer:
-20,20
20,20
-20,-20
20,-20
