Click top right, on your profile.
Click on the little person icon at the bottom
Click on the Gear icon for preferences
In the sub menu (left to right) again click on the little person for PROFILE
Got there, but I see about me, time zone , but not “my laser” “my controller” and so on
Scroll down…
I can see About Me, Timezone, Location, updated terms of service, Profile Header, User Card Background, Featured Topic and Save Changes there it stops
I am sending you a DM with a link to adjust the 3 entries. While rolling out other features on the forum, the ability to edit from your profile has been temporarily disabled. We are working to restore this capability, but lower on the priority at this point. Thank you for understanding.

Funny, I just followed the steps and had no problem editing my profile.
I am using browser access, not app based.

Coincidentally, I’m having the same problem.
I want to update my current operating systems and I can’t find the place to do it in the profile settings.
@Rick Has this already been resolved or is the resolution still ongoing?
@Enno Sorry for using your topic but as the subject is exactly the same, I thought it wasn’t worth opening a new topic on exactly the same subject.

When we are asked for support, we often have to ask: which laser do you have, which operating system do you use, … it would be great if all users could keep their information up to date.
Otherwise i need that link too.

Rick, out of curiosity, and in need of tweaking my profile, I also tried to update my profile. I did follow @JimNM’s excellent instructions. While some of the items are there to edit, the ones for types of equipment, software used, and the like are not. At one time they were, because I was able to add my second CO2 laser. From reading the other posts it would seem that a DM from you may be required. I know you folks are busy and my updates aren’t mission critical, so whenever you have a spare minute. One other thing I’ve noticed, if you misspell a word while typing, it will tell you it’s misspelled, but it never has a suggestion for correct spelling (it used too). It does, however, still offer grammar suggestions. Just curious, as I am a horrible speller.

As for the spelling checker, I believe this is part of your OS, your browser or another application providing this. It is not a tool provided by the forum platform we use. Could an update of one or more of the above changed your spell / grammar checking configuration? I use the Language Tool add-on, I like it, works well.
