Hi everyone, I recently purchased a ComMarker 50W laser from Amazon. Does anyone know how I can check to make sure my laser is 50 Watts? They sell 20w-50w and I need to make sure I got what I paid for.
There are instruments that measure laser power, but a normal user would not have access. I would see if it can cut the material you purchased the unit for. If it doesn’t the post what your doing and others with a similar size unit can comment.
Overall it’s not good to push a tube to its limits. Chances are your not going to cut like that and if you do then you bought the wrong machine.
Thanks, I’ll try that.
From ComMarker website here is a description of two modules:
- 80W Laser Module,10W Optical Power.Wavelength: 455nm.Size: 142x40x40mm(5.59x1.57x1.57inch).
- 40W Laser Module,5W Optical Power.Wavelength: 455nm. Size: 130x40x40mm(5.12x1.57x1.57inch).
I don’t know if 80W and 40W are the same as 50W and 20W but that wouldn’t surprise me.
Check the height of your laser module to see if it matches either of the listed heights.
Separately, are there any markings or electrical ratings printed on the module?
I appreciate the help. I was able to find out and it is a 50W. Thanks again!
