How to create a negative 2D datamatrix barcode

I need to mark a 2D datamatrix on a black polyurethane part. I have dialled in the settings and the mark is good and clear. However, the laser marking is white on a black part. However, some of our barcode scanners do not like this as they are looking for black on white. I can draw a box and fill to create a white background but how to I create a negative of a barcode in Lightburn? Google gemini says to toggle the negative image button in the engraving settings but Lightburn doesn’t see a barcode as an image.

ANy help would be greatly appreciated!

It’s the same. Just draw a rectangle around the barcode on the same layer, then all contents are inverted.
