How to create a straight line at a angle

Its most probably been asked a thousand times but how do you draw a straight line at a given angle. I thought there was a the dimension box at the bottom of the page that gave you the angle of the line looking at the screen, so if you wanted to draw a vertical line it would show if it was square to the drawing but it seems this is gone, unless i am thinking of another program. I have read and looked this up on the pages and web youtube etc but they say press shift key and button L etc but nothing comes up, do i have to select the line in question which i have tried but cant move the line at the angle i want in a drawing. Not sure if my software being up dated all the time is different to software and changes in Lightburn from when these videos were last made some being 5 years old, so holding shift keys and pressing keys don’t work.

The way I do it: draw a straight line while holding down the shift key, make the line editable and type the desired degrees into the “Rotate” box, up in the menu.

I will give this a try thanks.

So i drew the line, i had to do a horizontal or vertical line first and then selected it and in the rotate box moved the number of degrees require. If i drew a line at a rough estimated angle line it was difficult to find the correct degrees angle as Lightburn doesn’t tell you what the angle is, so best start flat or vertical and then select and move desired angled line into position. The shift key did nothing.

the shift key gives a straight 0 degree or 90 degree line
