I want to crop a logo image to edit part of it. I have looked into forums of how to do this applying a mask or boolean assistant but those options are greyed out on my software. Please help!

I want to edit the word “vineyards” only so i can make it show up darker. I adjusted the image to have the top show up how i want it to look
Place a rectangle around Vineyards. Click arrow tool. Select image then shift select the rectangle. Go to Tools menu > Cut shapes. That will cut the image into 2 parts and you can place the second part on a different layer for independent settings.

Running into a problem on a different image. I cut shapes and nothing happens?
It wont cut out what i want, does nothing or takes it all away trying to select one or the other first
The selection order matters. You need to select the shape you want to cut first, then shift click the shape you are cutting with.
