Hi I’ve recently just been messing around with my laser engraver and it’s awesome the only thing is I really want to engrave portraits I’ve done just about everything I can think of I’ve broken down the dpi I can get it to engrave but when it comes to things like portraits it will not engrave at all it will kick on and go thru all the motions like it’s working but all its doing is moving around not engraving I have my power up my speed is good I just can not get it to engrave portraits can anybody please help
Not engraving at all? What material are you trying to laser? Please try the solutions from our troubleshooting guide and let us know how it goes:

Engraving photos is the holy grail of lasering. It will take countless tries, hours of frustration and tons of wasted pieces until you will be completely satisfied and can handle a broad variety of materials and picture types.
That being said, there are many excellent tutorials out there that will give you a starting point, but it won’t release you from the basic three steps of lasering:

- Test
