How to enter imperial measurements

I only ever work in metric but I’ve been asked to draw a design in inches. I have no idea how to insert measurements like 6 3/8", 15 11/16" etc. Can someone please explain how to insert fractions into the height and width box. Thank you

Divide the upper number by the lower number to achieve the decimal.

1/2 = .5

3/8 = .375

11/16 = .6875

All number fields are capable of both systems. Just enter „1/2in“ into the field and it will get translated to mm.

Combine the other suggestions:

  • Tell LightBurn to use inches:

  • Enter the size as an equation:

LightBurn - Numeric Edit equations

The padlock icon controls whether the shape / group resizes with the same aspect ratio. Click to unlock when you must change the width and height separately.

Done!
