How do you frame clockwise? I have updated to 2.0.02 and now it will only frame counter clockwise. I have adjusted origins and nothing will change.
Why does direction matter for frame???
its always framed clockwise. I use the frame to line up my material.
The frame is the same left to right vs right to left.
My crystal ball is not plugged in. Without seeing your setting or knowing what your machine is, leave us guessing what the (?) problem is.
Still can’t seem to understand how CW and CCW makes a difference. Geometry stays the same both directions.
Are you using box frame or rubber band frame?
That’s interesting, I’ve very recently updated from 1.7 to 2.0.03 and using for the first time today framing started clockwise, for the last year of having my laser it’s always been anticlockwise ![]()
Mine started out CCW with the upgrade, but is now CW. I did nothing (intentional) to fix it but as @JimNM said, it really does not matter.
I can see how framing CW Vs CCW would be an issue, such as (with a galvo) having the relative less complex geometry to the immediate right of the origin and very complex to the left, such as having a corner of rectangular stock on one side and an intricate design on the other.
I cannot even with a Galvo. The Frame is just a bounding box around the design. Lightburn just sends a Go command and a set of 4 corners for it to find with no complex math involved. Any complex math is handled in the controller.
That’s what I get for posting from a rumshop
