How to get Lightburn to recognize Atomstack X20pro

Recently purchased Lightburn software after purchasing Atomstack X20 pro. I have an Atomstack X7 also which the software recognizes and works with. When trying to connect the X20, it came up with “grbl” and kinda sorta works with it but very badly- ramming the head into the sides and corners, etc. It will still work with the X7. Any ideas to get the software to simply find a common X20?

To confirm, you’ve setup a discrete device the X20 Pro?

Can you provide the following:

  1. Take a screenshot after pushing Devices button, then clicking once on the name of your X20 Pro device
  2. With the X20 Pro selected, take a screenshot of Edit->Device Settings
  3. Take a full screenshot of LightBurn with a design loaded and ready to burn on the X20 Pro

Thanks I’ll prob be able to try tomorrow.

Thanks for your help, I’ve included the 3 screenshots. The problem is that lightburn can’t seem to find the X20. The sceenshot 1 shows it originally finding it as GRBL, Screenshot 2 shows an attempt to find it, but gives a dialog box that doesn’t allow me to choose anything but go back or cancel. So, I removed GRBL, and tried again - now it won’t find it even as GRBL (screenshot 3)… Again, it could easily find the X7 - perhaps uninstall Lightburn and try again with the X20 first?

Your screenshot is relatively low resolution making it hard to make-out what’s going on at any detail.

I don’t see a screenshot of Devices window after clicking on your laser which I assume is named “GRBL”.

Can you also take the screenshot of Edit->Device Settings with GRBL selected?

I can make out that you’re using “User origin” as the Start From mode in Laser window. It’s likely that that is the reason for your crashing. Switch to Absolute Coords and see if it behaves better.
