Searched this topic, and it’s been a couple years since it was brought up. Bought a file that is XCS only (didn’t see it) and trying to use it. I found a conversion site on the internet. Got most of the file, but some of it’s just messed up. In the last couple of years, has any progress been made on how to upload an XCS file into Lightburn OR convert it somehow from XCS to SVG? Thank you.
Hi @da28fan
LightBurn can’t open XCS files directly, and there’s no reliable way to convert them cleanly.
XCS is a format used by xTool Creative Space, so most online converters struggle — that’s why parts of your file came through broken.
If you have access to it in XCS (I’ve not used it, so I am unsure), try exporting it as an SVG from there if possible. Otherwise, some manual cleanup is likely needed.
If you want to share the file, we can have a play around with it.
