How to invert engraving?!

If it’s an image, you can invert it in the cut/layer window…

If it’s a vector, an outline around the entire group usually does the trick…

How do I invert (negate) a vector engraving?

If you want to invert a vector engraving (Fill layer) you need to add an outline to it. Think about what happens when you scan a circle, compared to the letter ‘O’. The inner ring of the O toggles the fill. Whatever you do, always use the previewto see what the machine will actually do… saves time and materials… when you are new with Lightburn, it will show you what you are telling it to do… you’ll find sometimes it isn’t going to do what you think it will do…
