Kinda new here but love the software so far. However, I have an issue. I imported some DXF shapes and when I try to set them to fill, I get the message stating that the shapes are not closed.
I found we they are not closed at and tried to Auto Join but that was a no go. I then tried to create my own lines and use the Node Edit tool to make sure they snapped together, still a no go The specific shapes/lines in question are on the back of the bear cubs hind leg and rump. Can anyone tell me how I can get that entire shape closed so it can be filled? Mountain Scene 1 with issues.lbrn (1.4 MB)
I made the same attempts you did and found that the endpoints snap fine, but do not join. You also have an overlapping segment near the leg bump and floor.
To attempt a resolution, I deleted all but the damaged portion, exported it as SVG and opened it in Inkscape. I was able to join the loose nodes, but neglected to join the last set. When I re-opened the damaged file and imported the SVG, selecting only that segment for output, I got a warning of a single open point. Using close path took care of that. The adjusted but not aligned file is attached.
