How to match flipped images

Is there a way to flip an image and have it match perfectly? Let me try to explain. I pulled down a S&C and Duplicated it. Then I added Offset shape to it so it looks like this

(Flat bottom is so it will stand up). I will cut both out and glue them back to back. But my issue is they do not line up … in this image I took the left one and flipped but when I try to line them up …well you can see below … is there a way to force them to line up?

What I did to make this is to take just the offset and mirror on side and put them back to back. I am trying to prevent having to cut them both and then flip one over and burn the other side so they glue up correctly (just to ensure I have the image centered on the outline)

When your shapes are not symmetrically straight, either adjust them or use only one side’s offset and center your logo. In this way, you can make do with just one cutout.

Thanks Bernd I need to cut these from Quarter inch wood (all my diode laser can handle) but they do need to be 1/2 in thick so they stand up. If I read your response properly the answer is straighten out the logo? Or, cutout both on the one the logo will etch on the other I must flip it over and do my best to center it and in writing this I think I just figure out how I can easily do this … Thanks

I usually do it this way, if the offset is not completely symmetrical, I adjust the offset (the part to be cut) so that I can be turned after I have made the front side logo (logo + cutout). I don’t move my material plate, because otherwise the cutout+logo won’t fit anymore. The logo on the back I set the center in the flipped offset in LightBurn and only start the engraving of the logo.
I’m sorry I can’t make a sketch, I’m traveling and only have my ipad with me.

From my understanding I think Bernd means the following:
flip

I had a simular problem. The shape was not symmetrical. To make a symmetrical one you have to cut one in two, remove one half, duplicate and flip duplicated and align both halfs and join them into one path. Align with your logo.
