Other than uninstall, how do I remove saved parameters? I would like to remove all software and start from scratch, to try and correct issues with communication between lightburn and my laser. It will not frame or burn proper, this is a gweike cloud laser. I can use normal with their offline software, so I am guessing there is a glitch when I brought in the laser to lightburn and have removed and tried uninstall already, but seems to hold set points from previous installed file.
I doubt you could have messed it up that bad…
- What isn’t it doing?
- How do you connect, usb or Ethernet?
We can probably help you with what you have… uninstalling and re-installing is not usually the answer…
It won’t frame or engrave in bottom right hand corner. I shared my laptop yesterday and it is program or the com issue, it shows normal when read from gweike software.

Several settings survive a reinstall. This is not the ideal approach.
That’s a lot of software.
If you’re connecting with a USB cable, you’ll need to close any other programs that may be attempting to communicate with the laser as a program or app locks the USB port for exclusive use. If you are commanding the engraver to frame or burn, and if it attempts to do so, the communication would seem to be working. Laser engravers don’t often have feedback systems and don’t know where they are when they get lost.
Close out any other software that may have locked the communication away from LightBurn.
Connect to the laser engraver with LightBurn.
In LightBurn click Edit, then click Get Controller Info (toward the bottom). Capture the screen (with windows snip) or another software package so we can hopefully be more helpful.
