I have a 400mm x 400mm bed and I will be at about 400mm high. My question is the camera spec’s itself. I know you use manual focus at Lightburn but can it be a auto focus? I was thinking about a varicfocus lens. Will that work? Since we are not dealing with motion I assume that FPS is not a factor nor would be the video compression being mjpeg, yuy. or yuy2. Will any camera work so long as I get the lens viewing angle correct. So I can us USB 2 or USB3. Is fisheye not preferred? I’m pretty sure that no distortion is preferred, correct? Now I would like a good image so I was wanting 4K, 8MP or ever 13MP. Does that play any kind of roll in the viewable angle? Last question am I correct in thinking if I went with a 120 degree angle and if I change from 400mm high to say 300 I could go with a 85 degree lens. I will be getting a ELP brand camera. It’s just so hard to pick the perfect one for my needs at 400mm x 400mm bed.
What about lighting? If I put it inside a enclosure will I need a low light camera?
This is what I meant about help selecting a camera to work with my HP Windows laptop with core I7.
