How to set LightBurn so it always starts in Absolute coordinates?

I just wasted this morning fighting with a non-existent laser problem!
Somehow LightBurn “Start from” got changed from “Absolute coords” to “Current Position”. Since I always work in Absolute coordinates I did not even think to check this setting.

Is there a way I can get LightBurn to always start in Absolute coordinates?

In laser window start from, upper right.

LightBurn will revert to the last used Start From mode including if Start From is specified in the .lbrn file that you’ve last loaded.

I don’t believe there is a method to somehow persistently override Start From mode at all times.

I may be wrong but i don’t believe Lightburn saves the Start From: setting when you save a job file. If that is true then this setting should never change unless you change it. The only time i would change this is when I am using the Rotary. Its easy enough to test and see if i’m right

It does if you’ve configured it to do so. Go to Edit->Settings->File Settings->Save job origin to project.

I dont have that option on my version of Lightburn. Even if i did there could still be an issue. If the Start From: was set to Current Position on the previous job it will remember that. Then if you open lightburn and try to home with out loading a file where the Start From: was Absolute Position the homing will not work correctly
