Hi
I have a Diode copy of Lightburn that I use at home, and it has an Origin button. I also use Lightburn for CO2 laser at a makerspace. I can’t find the set origin button.
Under the past question, someone did ask this question but then he found the button and the topic was closed.
Thank you,
ednisley

CO₂ lasers with Ruida controllers handle that function internally, where LightBurn can’t reach it.
The machine console should have an Origin
button to do what you want:
Jog the laser head to the appropriate spot
Poke the Origin
button on the console
Set Start from: User Origin
in LightBurn
Profit!

The set Origin button is dependent on two aspects
Compatible controller
Beginner Mode being not enabled
If yours is enabled, uncheck it - click ok
Close and restart Lightburn

On a Ruida, you must set the origin from the machines console… there is no software way to set a user origin .
