I did a material test and for my material varying the power doesn’t change much, but varying the speed gives me a perfect grayscale. How can I force the software to vary my speed for grayscale engravings rather than varying the power.
Engraving is a function of speed and power in a reciprocal relationship. Lower speed or higher power results in darker burns while the opposite will result in lighter burns.
When you define your cut settings you will need to set the max power level which will be used for absolute black portions of the grayscale and a min power level that will be used for absolute white portions of the grayscale. These choices will need to be in harmony with the speed chosen for the engraving.
