To all the experienced, can someone help me?

I am trying to do that print and cut Function in Lightburn
But it fails every time.
The programm tells me “Ready (print &cut)” !

  • I hit “Start”
  • Now the program tells me “One or more shapes are crossing the
Machine workspace and will not be sent. Continue? YES / NO“
  • I continue with „YES“
  • The program says “Cut might be out of bounds - Continue
    anyway?
  • I continue with “YES”
Now the Machine returns to Zero 0/0
One final Remark. There is surely no shape crossing the machine workspace.

hope someone can help

Are you certain that there’s nothing crossing the boundary of the machine, even after the Print and Cut feature has re-oriented the job?

Does your machine have homing switches, and work in Absolute Coordinates? (It needs to)

Hi there,

hers my Answers…

Are you certain that there’s nothing crossing the boundary of the machine, even after the Print and Cut feature has re-oriented the job?

  • Answer:

Yes I am sure. I can not see any object, line or what so ever crossing the boundary.

  • At least there is nothing visible.

The object/drawing is very simple since it was specially drawn for the purpose to test that feature.

Does your machine have homing switches, and work in Absolute Coordinates? (It needs to)

  • Answer:

No, my machine does have No a connected homing switch!

But I take care that the system uses Absolute Coordinates and the

“to cut object” lives in a absolute world.

The object is created using Absolute Coordinates.

But still I must something do wrong…

many thanks for the immediate Response

In Lightburn, do a select all to see if there is something out your expected image area that might be causing the problem.

If you don’t have homing sensors or limit switches, that could be the problem. If you jog the laser to the first target and click ‘Get Position’ in the ‘Move’ window, what position is reported?

The issue has been solved!
Your Questions have guided me to the solution.
Many thanks.

The “print and cut” function works even without limit switches!
It is always god to understand such function in detail.
