I am trying to set up Lightburn with my Atomstack Pro+

Not sure what I’m doing wrong. When my laser tries to center it goes all the way to left end against bar and stuck there until I click stop…please help

For what it’s worth, I am having the same problem. Yesterday it homed just fine, and today it can’t see the limit switches. I’m googling like a madman.

There’s a good chance that you can solve this by loading a preferences file from when LightBurn was working well for you.

Launch LightBurn without a project.
Click File,
Click Load Prefs Backup,
Select a Prefs Backup file from a time (by date) that LightBurn was working well for you.

Is the Atomstack a new device for you? Has it worked previously? If not we’re going to need a different approach than what I suggested to Steve.

When you’re connected to your Atomstack Pro+ in LightBurn open the Console window, and request the following two reports by typing the following commands:
$i
$$
And pressing enter after each one.
Please copy and paste those reports into a reply here.

This should tell us the Model Number of your AtomStack device and how the homing and limit switches are configured. From there we can see if the next steps are a setting in LightBurn or something more serious.

I’m not sure if you’ve resolved your issue on your own or with input from John, but just to update you on what finally solved it for me: Based on a YouTube video, I noted that the wheel bearings on the Y axis had significant flat spots right out of the box. I could feel them even when moving the slide by hand.

I ordered new wheels and replaced the stock wheels. My homing problem immediately went away and the unit now runs like smooth butter. The flat spots on the wheels were bad enough to make the little low-torque Y axis motor stall.

Thanks for help. My laptop has Windows 11. From what I understood the Lightburn works on 10. I used another laptop and it started working. I haven’t engraved anything yet, but will try today. Hopeful it works.
